About The Project

Newton and Bywell Community Hall is a modern community hall in Northumberland. We replaced an existing self-build website on Yola with a WordPress version, enhancing the overall functionality and user experience.

Integrated Booking System

The previous website had a Hallmaster booking system that we integrated into the new website for the management of hall bookings. This integration streamlined the booking process, making it easier for community members to reserve the hall for various events.

Enhanced Communication Tools

We also upgraded the website to include a MailPoet newsletter system, which is very similar to MailChimp. This addition allows the charitable trust to effectively communicate with village residents, keeping them informed about upcoming events, news, and updates.

Comprehensive Community Hall Web Design Services

Our approach to community hall web design ensures that all essential features, from booking systems to communication tools, are seamlessly integrated into a modern, user-friendly platform. This makes it easier for community halls like Newton and Bywell to engage with their residents and manage their facilities efficiently.

Client Review

From the community hall chair

We loved the layout for our prospective site, and Ben took us through every step until we were happy that it looked as we wanted it. He has helped us with the technical side of editing the site and has provided videos and advice when required. A great and efficient service. We now have a website that works perfectly for us.

What you need to know

If you already have a logo and the content (words and pictures) to go on your new community hall website, it will take approximately two weeks to build. A new logo will take about a week if starting from scratch and would need to be done first, as this provides the colours that will be used on your website.  We often find that writing the words to go on a community hall website often take longer than expected but we would provide guidance on this.

Technically speaking you don’t need a logo for a community hall website.  That said, a professionally designed logo looks fab on a website and can really help you look credible.  We can help create you a new look with our logo design service.

We’ll provide full instructions on how to edit the words and photos on your community hall website as part of the build costs.  For major changes, we can provide a very competitive quote.

With over half of all internet browsing and searches done with a mobile phone or tablet, it is vital your community hall website works on these devices.  A properly designed community hall website should do just that and change its appearance depending on the screen size.  All of our community hall websites work on all devices.

Websites are quoted on a basis of how much work needs doing.  A very basic community hall website would start at £499. We know we are not the cheapest but strongly believe we provide a solid product, backed up by excellent customer service (see our reviews).

As a full service community hall website design company we provide a comprehensive range of hosting solutions for community hall websites.  As well as hosting we can also look after email accounts for your community hall.

.

Photos are key to making your community hall website look good. Visitors are more likely to contact you if you have good quality photos. Investing in a photographer will pay dividends in the long run, as well as providing you with photos for any printed material or social media posts.

To get found, your community hall website will most likely need to be on the first page of Google or Bing.  This will require your website to have some search engine optimisation carried out on it.  All of our community hall websites have the on-page SEO done while being built.  You may need off-page SEO after the website goes live to get the best result.  We can help with that too.

Absolutely, reviews are invaluable for a community hall website. They build trust by providing social proof, reassuring potential customers about the quality of your venue. Positive reviews can also boost SEO by adding fresh, user-generated content, which helps improve search engine rankings. In a competitive market, showcasing authentic feedback can set your site apart, attract more visitors, and ultimately lead to higher conversions.
